Kris Popplewell Ahmed, MPH, CHES
Associate Director, Interim Executive Director

Kris Popplewell Ahmed, an MPH graduate from San Francisco State University, is the Associate Director at the Teen Pregnancy Coalition of San Mateo County. Kris has been at the coalition since 1999, and teaches a comprehensive sexuality program, Teen Talk to students in high schools and middle schools throughout San Mateo County. From March 2002 to January 2004, Kris managed the ASsET Project (Advocating for Sexuality Education Together) training youth in the policy making process. Kris graduated with honors from the University of California at Santa Barbara in June 1997, where she received her BA in psychology. She graduated with her Masters in Public Health from San Francisco State University in 2005.

Kris has been a presenter at the Society of Public Health Education, California Alliance Concerned with School Age Parenting Annual Conference, California Public Health Association Northern Chapter, the Florence Critten Roundtable and the National Organization on Adolescent Pregnancy, Parenting and Prevention Annual Meeting.
